Inno Agent — reaching a scale on a shop floor from the cloud
Printers, scales, fingerprint terminals and cameras sit behind somebody’s router. One small agent on the branch network reaches them, without opening a port.
Cloud software cannot see a scale on a shop floor
Printers, weighing scales, fingerprint terminals and cameras live on a local network behind somebody’s router. A system running in a data centre cannot reach any of them, which is why so much hardware ends up driven by a separate program nobody maintains.
One small agent on the branch network
Inno Agent runs on a PC or a Raspberry Pi at the branch. It reaches the devices on the LAN and talks outward to the system, so nothing has to be exposed to the internet and no port has to be opened.
Getting one going
There is a Windows installer, a one-command Docker install, a flash-and-go Raspberry Pi image and a full autoinstall ISO. A box can also be paired without a token at all: it boots into pairing mode, shows an eight-character code on a page served on the local network, and somebody claims that code from the settings screen.
Two variants
core drives printers, scales and terminals. vision adds camera work. A Pi running vision can count a line on its own.
Remote control is a permission, not a default
Health, logs, settings, restart, update and a terminal are all reachable from the admin screen — and all of it sits behind a single, tightly-held permission, because that is remote execution inside the customer’s own network. Console access does not imply it.
It updates itself
The server advertises the deployed version on every heartbeat and a box with auto-update on fetches, verifies and restarts. A new detection model is treated the same way: downloaded, hash-checked, loaded and test-inferred before it is allowed to replace a working one — and the swap exchanges the detector only, so a running count is never reset.
